Do We Really Know What Depression Is?
Do we really understand depression? We have to pray for each other, some people don’t understand depression. Some people don’t have to deal with depression and live normal healthy lives. Some people have it but they won’t except it. We as people have pride, that helps keeping us from getting help.
Depression is no punk, it will destroy your hope, love and spirit and eventually your life. In this trying time we as true believers must shine and show people the joy of the Lord. So others will see faith rather than fear, in our eyes and know there is more in Jesus then they have. We as true believers must learn how to lean to Jesus and the Holy Ghost. When our flesh is weak, sometimes it is very hard to lean on him, he is our strength in times of trouble. We as creatures always want to do it in ourselves. We think God isn’t interested in our problems, well like a very wise man once said.
That is (Hogwash my brother) Jesus came to send back the Comforter from the Father for us to fight sin and was willing to die for it and suffer for us . It is sin that causes depression, it can have to do with our childhood up bringing. Loss of jobs, and financial worries cause it also. Maybe a death in a person’s family. A husband or wife or a child maybe or even a best friend or any family member could die or be killed or even murdered. It takes a lot of time to heal and it is a process. One of the worst causes is turning to drugs or alcohol. They only delay or kill the pain until we run out of whatever we are addicted to.
These things are unhealthy for us are a quick fix to our problems. Rather then turning to Jesus and pressing through the situation in our lives. We turn to other alternatives, definitely not healthy for us. Divorce is another terrible situation that cause depression. The married couple is fighting and never agreeing with each other. They argue in front of their children even little babies start crying and parents yell at the baby and their younger children. This is not good or mentally healthy for anyone and can cause depression and their children will end up sad full of hate and will spend most or all of their life trying to prove they are worthy of even life itself.
The parents are suffering and there is no peace or joy in the home. So even the children of that household suffers also. Some of the children turn to drugs and alcohol as an escaped once again rather than Jesus or God. Then when we depressed people realize the darkness is so much greater than the light. We have to change our lives. We need to love
God, talk to him in the heavenly language he has given us. We must put God first and learn how to have a personal relationship with Jesus, and the father and then love our children with all of our hearts, with all our minds and all our strengths. Then me must learn to forgive and love ourselves. We are worthy because Jesus says we are worthy, it is the spirit and living an overcoming life that causes us to fight depression. It is an overcoming way and takes time like I said above. Apostle Paul said we must press our way into the Kingdom of God.
