The Two Tabernacles

Gen 15 has an interesting picture of Abraham in him asking about his inheritance. He wanted to know. The answer was given to divide the sacrifices and then the darkness came. He beat the fowls away and a horrible deep sleep came upon him.
Then a smoking furnace and a burning lamp passed between them. We now are the sacrifice.

Rom. 12
What divides us is our focus of Faith. We have to find our place in this walk of Faith to move forward. Rom. 8:2 deals with 2 laws of life. Law of Sin and Death is the law of life of the man of self. We must find the power and wisdom of this life. It can be religious or not.

We all have to come through the Law to find if we can be like God, in the strength of self. This can take many years. We try to maintain our sacrifice as problems (fowls) come our way. Then the darkness and deep sleep comes upon us. We are losing control. Madame Guyon called this experience “the dark night of the soul “.

We began our walk of Faith with 2 crutches- called reason and sense. Now we’re forced to walk only by Faith. We must know that we have the inheritance. This is naked Faith. Esther said “if I perish- I perish”.
Now the Law of the Spirit of Life in Christ is our focus. This is the Life of Christ now working in us and through us. Not of self- now the Life of this Holy Ghost Life in us. This also is the oil of the Wise Virgins.

The answer to your question is a moving target. Jesus spoke of a “three day journey”. There’s many references to our three day journey.

1. Preparation- we have a season to learn the principles of the Word of God.

2. Temptation- this is testing our faith in believing and doing the Will of God for our lives.

3. Salvation- We are now by faith resting in our journey of our place in Christ.
Each one of these days has wonderful and terrible experiences as we advance in our relationship in Christ.
Only God can give increase to find the mysteries of this journey. This is proven or learned only by experience. 

Acts 15: 16 Build again the Tabernacle of David. For years the contrast of the Tabernacle of Moses and the Tabernacle of David was not understood in my experience of growth in Christ.

I had been taught every type and shadow in the Tabernacle of Moses. It’s an excellent teaching. We all have received much strength from this teaching. One day a visiting minister shared an insight on the Tabernacle of David. I realized that I needed more understanding about this subject.

For Approximately 36 years there was 2 Tabernacles in operation for Israel. At Gibeon was the Tabernacle of Moses. At Zion was the Tabernacle of David. My focus of two operations operating at the same time was dim. The contrast was amazing as the scales of traditional teaching diminished. All the years of gleaning great truths and no one had spoken of this subject. It was a great truth for my understanding of Hope in Christ.

One great contrast was the Tabernacle of David had no vail. The Ark of the Covenant was in a Tent. No Vail- at Gibeon the Tabernacle of Moses had a vail but now the Ark was gone. The contrasts were evident that 2 different levels of Faith was working at the same time. Some contrasts are evident. Once the Ark was in the Tent- never Blood sacrifice again. At Gibeon continued Blood Sacrifice. The Tabernacle of David is a picture of the Spiritual Christian- Wise Virgins- Overcomer’s- IN CHRIST- Sons of God.

Much depth in this Spiritual Understanding. A study of this would help to understand the meaning of these 2 different operations. 50 chapters describe the Tabernacle of Moses in Old Testament. 50 chapters describe the Tabernacle of David ( IN CHRIST) in the New Testament.
Two different Priesthoods working and so much more.

The days of creation have many different levels of importance. Every day was referenced with the Evening and Morning. Never Morning and Evening. Evening is Judgment. 

Morning is New Beginning. Each creative day has this process in God’s plan for perfection. Perfection is mature or complete. Every creative day is like building blocks in this journey forward in God. God’s plan was contained in 2 men. First and last Adam. In God’s eyes everything is preformed in these two men. The creative days are much more than a natural event.

The spiritual journey in Christ is shown in its maturing process of His creative days in us. The reason for Evening and Morning is that after every judgment there’s a New Beginning. As we die to Self- more of Christ is revealed. To have more of Christ we must have less of Self.
