Baptism of Fire
Mt. 3:11 Mentions three baptisms on of those is fire baptism.
But Jesus answered and said, Ye know not what ye ask. Are ye able to drink of the cup that I shall drink of, and to be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with?
Mt. 20:20-23 It shall be given to them for whom it is prepared of my Father. The father did not prepare people for water baptism, he was talking about allowing the Holy Ghost to help us thru the father. The father sent back the comforter.
Lk. 12:49-50 I am come to send fire on the earth; and what will I if it be already kindled? Spiritual fire or trials and test. We know also if we suffer with him we shall rein with him. We must overcome and allow the Holy Ghost to lead us and guide us into all truth. But I have a baptism to be baptized with; and how am I straitened till it be accomplish
Rm 6:3-6 Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? That is to die to the flesh or by fire.
We are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. this is to deny ourselves and drink of the cup he drank of.
For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection: Knowing this, that our old man (Carnal Minds in Rm. 8th chapter) is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin. Water baptism or the baptism of the Holy Ghost do not destroy the body of sin. Only the Baptism of fire. I explained above.
I Cor.3:13-15 Every man’s work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man’s work of what sort it is. If any man’s work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward.
If any man’s work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.
I Cor. 10:1-4 They were all baptized unto Moses in the cloud and in the sea; and did all eat the same spiritual meat; all drank the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ. to drink here meant go throught the fire. If we suffer with him we will rein with him.
ICor. 15:28-29 Then shall the Son also himself be subject unto him that put all things under him, that God may be all in all. What shall they do which are baptized for the dead, if the dead rise not at all? why are they then baptized for the dead? Paul said that he dies daily. This is to die to the flesh. No way is this talking about water baptism.
Gal. 3:25-29 After faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster. For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.
Isa. 48:10 Behold, I have refined thee, but not with silver; I have chosen thee in the furnace of affliction. The furnace of affliction is the trials and test we go through or in other words. The baptism of fire is clear up to this point. It also has been proven the the scripture that the baptism Jesus was baptised with was fire not water.
Mal.3:2 But who may abide the day of his coming? and who shall stand when he appeareth? for he is like a refiner’s fire, and like fullers soap: He is going to clean up sin and refine us into his image.
Col. 2:11-13 In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ: Buried with him in baptism, where in also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead. We being dead in our sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses; Every thing that I said about fire baptsm is explained in this last scripture it is the flesh and sin that is burned up in the fire baptism.
IPt 1:6-7 Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations: That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:
I Pt.4:12-13 To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you, Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.
Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations: That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:
Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory:
Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls.
Of which salvation the prophets have inquired and searched diligently, who prophesied of the grace that should come unto you:
Searching what, or what manner of time the Spirit of Christ which was in them did signify, when it testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ, and the glory that should follow.
Unto whom it was revealed, that not unto themselves, but unto us they did minister the things, which are now reported unto you by them that have preached the gospel unto you with the Holy Ghost sent down from heaven; which things the angels desire to look into.
Pms.66:9-12 Which holdeth our soul in life, and suffereth not our feet to be moved. For thou, O God, hast proved us: thou hast tried us, as silver is tried. Thou broughtest us into the net; thou laidst affliction upon our loins.
Thou hast caused men to ride over our heads; we went through fire and through water: but thou broughtest us out into a wealthy place. The fire was the Baptism of fire . So in the previous leason we taught on water baptism and the baptism of the Holy Ghost and this lesson is on the baptism of fire
