Don’t Go By Feelings and Emotions

Children of God should not go by feelings and emotions. We need to be steadfast unmovable forever enduring in the things of God. Led by what the word of God says, not by how we feel, in the natural. This is why we should go by the word of God always. Jesus said if they hated me they will hate you. The word hate in the bible doesn’t mean hate like we understand in the natural.

It means that God disapproves of our actions and putting things of the world before him. Here is why I feel this way, for 10 years Dee and I have attended a church here where we live in Oregon. Dee and I have invited many people to dinner at our house, some would come and some would not come. I would ask myself why don’t they come. I look in my heart and look to see if I have ever hurt that person who won’t come. Then I just give it to God, he will show me why in time.

No one from church from the Pastor all the way down the line! Ever invited us any where in those 10 years going and supporting the church with our times and tithes and offerings. It hurts and feelings want us to suffer the pain of being rejected whether we had something to own in it or not. I am not saying that we shouldn’t deal with the situation and find out why the people did come or invite us. I am saying don’t let our feelings control us! My mind would tell me that I am negative, that they don’t care what I have to say! I would try to own all of it and it might not of been mine to own.Most of the time it is the person and has nothing to do with us. They have things that control them through their own natural feelings. I was mentally sick for two years and could not even go out side. Not one person came to visit me. Dee kept going to Church like the good Christian she is and praying for me.

We had a brother who lived alone for years and he was 86 and lived down the street from the Pastor and another one of the churches saint. In all those years no one went to see him or invite him any where either. A Brother picked him up and brought him to church yet never stayed to fellowship with him.Dee became his care giver and was until he died of cancer 5 years later. To be lonely and sick and have no one who cares, it hurts our heart and our feelings deep down in side.

We must not go by feelings of hurt or pain, but by the word of God. If they hated me Jesus said they will hate you always comes to my mind. They really hated Jesus much more than we are being hurt. It does hurt very much to be rejected in any way. Dee and I are Holy Ghost filled and speak in God’s heavenly language or as the Bible says unknown tongues.

Most of the people in the church are not filled with the Holy Ghost. The Pastor use to get up and strike at us about tongues and even make fun of the operation of the spirit. We would take this personal and know he was directing his message at us. It use to make me want to stop and rebuke the Pastor right in front of the church, and ask him why he is denying the spirit!
Really he was not rejecting us but rejecting God and we were allowing it to hurt us. The church would never have people come to the alter to pray before or after service. I had met god 47 years earlier in a Pentecostal church. We would pray before service and the spirit would draw people to the alter.People in this church I am talking about here in Oregon where we now live. Would never stand up or clap their hands or praise him. It is a dry bone church and has no life in it is what the word of God says. So why am I allowing my feelings and emotions to control me. It is about them not about me, the saints would talk about having love one to another.

We realized that was just a front, or something they would just say. Did they really have love one to another? If they did we would feel loved, and they would not have to tell us we were loved. Dee and I have our own service on Tuesday night and we had this young lady come and she was tormented by evil spirits and voices.

I do not pray for women without my wife ever, so my wife laid hands on her and I put my hands on my wife and we both prayed for her. Now if the spirit tells me to lay my hands on a women! I will get my wife and she would put her hands on the woman and we would pray for them, That is part of our ministry is praying for people.

The word of God say’s lay your hands on no man suddenly and that includes women. So we continued to pray for this woman and the voices and evil spirits went away. She went to a Pentecostal church with Dee my wife to a woman’s convention where they were all laying hands on people. Dee prayed for her and she received the Holy Ghost and spoke in tongues. God had changed her life and she was doing wonderful coming to Sunday service. She also came our Tuesday night services we had at the church.

Here this woman is full of evil spirits and hearing voices. Who God used my wife to help receive the wonderful Holy Ghost. She no longer had voice or evil spirits in her. She then goes and tells one of the Ministers in the dry bone church. That I scared her by laying my hands on her and praying. Which never happened like I explained above. I was hurt and and allowed my feelings to get in my way. I was also angry at the brother for telling me not to pray for people and lay my hands on them. If you only knew the healings that people have received with these healing hands God has given me. I should of thought of the awesome thing God has given me, rather then allowing my feelings to get in the way. It is all about the me, the spirit tells me. If they hated me they will hate you.There was another time that I prayed for a young lady and asked her if I could pray for her she said ok she is dying of cancer. She grew up in a Holy Ghost filled church where the Ministry laid hands on people.

Dee and I had a prayer service and no one would show up because we would speak in tongues out loud and it offended them. We were blessed tha tthe church let us use the building for our Tuesday night service and Wednesday prayer service. That was because, before we moved up here from Sacramento California, My brother in law who was associate pastor promised me I could. Not only did they not come to prayer, the new what time we had prayer and would come in the middle of our prayer service and disturb it. The Pastor’s wife and some people came in to get tables for this lady’s family reunion.

We were having our prayer service they could see our car, and know we were in there having prayer! Prayer time is important to Dee and I and we take it serious. It is God’s time, that didn’t matter to them getting the tables right then was more important. I was hurt and angry again, once again it was about them not us. I learned years ago not to go by feelings and emotions. I also learned we cannot control people places or things. The Lord used a man of God to tell me if we allow our flesh to let others see it effect us. That I would never be a good leader. This young lady came over crying and told Dee about her having cancer and Dee asked me to pray for her. Knowing she is Holy Ghost filled makes a difference whether I will lay my hands on people. Dee put her hands on her and I asked her if I could pray for her on the head. The lady said yes so we prayed for her. We had already had finished prayer service when she walked into the church. After being in prayer for more than an hour, I was anointed and she cried out and almost fell down from the power of God through these hands. She was so over whelmed with the things in her life. A couple day’s later she was walking by our house with her kids and waving at us. Dee and I were in the yard working! She seemed a lot more happy since we had prayed for her. Now this made me feel great that the prayer was working !

See here is the thing people are afraid of the Holy Ghost! Dee and I have the Holy Ghost, and when we pray people are scared of the power of God. Once again it has nothing to do with us. Yet it makes us have a good feeling rather than a negative one. Does it mean every time we pray for people God heals them? No he doesn’t yet many many times he has and a year later the lady we prayed for in the church came back to visit her mom again.

She told us the cancer was gone, what a mighty God we serve. Dee and I believe in prayer, we believe in speaking in a heavenly language, and laying hands on the sick. We believe that if they will believe with all their heart, in them being healed. It is in the Bible and we want to do what Jesus says and not go by our feelings and emotions. My Pastor use to say if he offends us he is sorry! Yet if the word of God offends you then he won’t apologize for the word of God. . He would tell us that he was just a messenger, and it is his job, to share the truth that God had given him. Now when you attend a church, where the men of God who teach get up to teach. Then all they do is tell a bunch of stories and don’t ever use scripture. When you are sick and they don’t come visit you.

Then they avoid you and don’t talk to you, when you are at church. They don’t clap, praise, or give God glory! They tell you the you can’t pray in tongues or lay hands on someone. They never invite you anywhere including their house or dinner or out out to eat or fellowship.
It hurts peoples feelings, we must not go by my feelings and emotions. I now realize we must go by the word of God. we must realize once again what Jesus said: If they hated me they will hate you.

The more spirit filled we become the more rejected we are going to be. Jesus said even our father and mother and all our family and even our own self will hate us. Then if they hated me they will hate you praise God. Don’t go by feelings and emotions go by the word of God. Praise his Holy name!
