God is a Spirit
I received the Holy Ghost 50 years ago and spoke in tongues for the first time. I was baptized in water three times. I have heard oneness believers tear down everyone for being baptized in the name of the father and son and Holy Ghost. Saying that the name of Jesus must be said over you, or you are not saved. I have heard and seen the cruelty of it all. Water Baptism in water is an outward manifestation of the spirit for a good conscience towards God. The Holy Ghost and Comforter is the real reason Jesus died. It came from the father thru the son and it is a spirit, just like God is a spirit.
Jesus was tempted in all ways yet without sin. That tore the veil in twain. Exposing the mask over man’s face, allowing a man or woman to see what manner of person the really are. Jesus learned obedience thru the things he suffered. He also learned the feelings of our infirmities. People get mad and angry because I say Jesus had a carnal nature. He had feelings; he had to know right from wrong to be tempted. He had to learn obedience like the scripture says. He was half human born of a natural woman. He also was spiritual because he was born of God and born of the Holy Spirit. I am not saying he is carnally minded. There is a difference between an earthly nature born of woman and having a carnal mind. The carnal nature must sin to be carnally minded. We know Jesus never sinned. Bottom line is Jesus died a horrible death; he had to overcome his human nature. He did away with Old Testament animal sacrifice. He put our past sins as far as the east is from the west. Then said he would never remember them again. He was of the same spirit as the father and he sent back the comforter thru the father to lead us and guide us into all truth. Also so the Holy Ghost can dwell with us and in us. The Christ in us is the spirit of the father. Not the Christ who died on the cross. He had to pick up his cross and die. He had to drink of the cup and die for his cause. We must use the same spirit and pick up our cross. Drink of the same blood and die for our cause.
