Let’s start with Mt. 3:11
(Mt.3) I indeed Baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that comes after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire: John the Baptist was to lead men to repentance through water baptising them. Jesus allowed John to water baptise him in the Jordan river.
John wanted Jesus to baptise him yet Jesus told him no. Jesus was baptised so he would complete whatever God required man to do Jesus came to put them under there feet. Just like animal sacrifice Jesus was the supreme sacrifice. He makes atonement for us through the Holy Ghost.
Jesus came to tear down the veil between God and man. The tribe of Levi had a High Priest who would go into the Holy place once a year for atonement for the different tribes. They were required to sacrifice a cloven beast that was without spot or blemish or best of their flocks. They called it offering up a clean beast. It was once a year for the people to atone for their sins.
The High Priest would enter thru the veil and speak to God. He could not stay in the Holy place if he was not sinless. So they tied a rope around him so he would not die in the Holy place. We must learn to pick up our cross daily and drink of the cup he drank of. We must die out to our flesh while on the earth and believe me Water baptism will not help you do that. Jesus said are you willing to be baptised with the baptism he was baptised with? He was talking about Fire baptism not water baptism. It does not matter what we say over someone. When people are water baptised, like is taught in other churches. Some Pentecostal realms believe you must be baptised in Jesus name or you are not saved. Some believe you have to say in the name of the father,then in the name of the son. Then you have to be baptised in the name of the Holy Ghost. ( Hogwash my brother and sister) These three things they say over someone who is being water baptised are titles not names. If we Read
Heb 6: 1-3 [1] Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God,
Of the doctrine of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment.
And this will we do, if God permit. Now we have the four major doctrines that are a type of the legs. Holding up the table of showbread in the tabernacle in the wilderness. Each of these four lessons need to be taught by a man of God in the Body of Christ to the individuals interested in more truth. Verse one says not laying again the foundation of dead works and faith towards God. So why would water baptism save us. ( If we are to go onto perfection.) It won’t and it is a dead works. Repentance came from John the Baptist. Jesus said we must be baptised with the Holy Ghost. Well the only way I know how to fight the enemy and the fire is through the Holy Ghost. We can not do it through the Carnal mind because we are double minded. We will go on onto the baptism of the Holy ghost next. The we will teach on the Baptism of fire.
